Every Caterer Should Avoid Making These Five Mistakes

Everyone makes errors in Their jobs. Everything you need to do is learn from the mistakes you create and move on.

"The definition of Insanity is repeating the exact same mistake again and again and expecting a different outcome."

There are 5 ways to avoid Insanity on your catering endeavor.

1) The first mistake every caterer makes isn't adding the gratuity and other taxes to the bill. It's not so bad for customers who have an account of just $50. It's much worse, but for customers with a tax of $500. You need to discuss the gratuity and other taxes with your customer before they consent to anything.

2) The timing is very important. You don't need to have the food there too early or too late. You need to discuss with your client once the time should be. You don't want the food to spoil, do you really?

3) You need to include alternatives on your menu. Some individuals are gluten-free. Some people are vegetarian. Some are lactose-intolerant. You place your customer and yourself at risk when you neglect to add choices on the menu. Someone may come after you in a lawsuit over food that has gluten. One little mistake can ruin your company.

4) You have to get an estimate of the number of people are going to be there. A good guideline is to add an additional 2-5 individuals to the last count. That way you do not overestimate or underestimate the food you want.

5) You need to know what is in the food. You Can't afford to have any surprises With your clients. One little mistake can cost you thousands of dollars. For example caterers in gettysburg pa.
